WHAT IS AN NGO?
NGO stands for Non Governmental Organization, a term coined in the UN Charter. They are tax exempt organizations formed by private citizens who wish to correct global inequities where governments are absent.

NGOs build homes, distribute food, staff schools and furnish medical care every day to victims of political winds, natural disasters and disease. Few get the recognition they deserve. |
Where Governments do not or cannot adequately provide for citizens under duress, NGOs provide humanitarian aid.
